My Christmas Treats

Hiya! Meggie MacDougall here wanting to wish you a Happy Christmas! I hope all is well wherever ye are. I’m a bit cold up here in the Scottish Highlands. We’ve got lots of rain as well so I’m staying indoors as much as I can.

I wanted to tell you about a book I’m excited to start reading now that the pub’s slowed down quite a bit. It’s called A MacKinnon Christmas and it’s written by Kit Frazier. I’ve loved the lass’s other novels and when I heard about this story I couldn’t wait to get it! It’s only a short story (a novella, aye?) but I know Kit will have us laughing out loud and wanting to be the best friend of the book’s heroine. Are there any books you’re looking forward to reading this holiday or are you hoping someone gives you books (or a gift card) for Christmas? Leave a comment here and perhaps ye’ll be the winner of our giveaway, a copy of Kit’s book!

I’m hoping to get some books or giftcards for books for Christmas. Really, I’m not sure what I’d want besides books. And socks. I do love socks.

I’m reading The Snowman by Raymond Briggs at the moment and I wish to receive A Charlie Brown Christmas by Charles M. Schulz this holiday season.

Sounds like we’re all on the same page! I usually get at least 1 gift card for Barnes & Noble for Christmas, although I really don’t need anymore books. I’ve got too many shelves full of books I’ve wanted to read for years! Jill Shalvis, Laura Griffin, Sharon Sala, John Hart, David Baldacci, Harper Lee, Toni Morrison….just to name a few authors on my bookshelves.

I never receive books and gift cards as presents so those are out. XD I’m just hoping to finish the books I plan to finish before the year ends. (Oh, look, there’s the new Jill Shalvis on my Kindle. Plans are shot.)

Kanoko, I hear ya on Jill Shalvis! I just got her latest newsletter in my “in” box. I can’t keep up with her but she is definitely one of my go-to authors.

I hope to get a Gift Card to Amazon. I would love a few books. This year has been tough but I am still going. The best thing I could ask for though is having my health back.

This year I finally asked Santa for a Kindle, since I’m probably one of the few people who still doesn’t have one hehehe!!! Still love the feel of real books in my hands though & just started reading Mills & Boon: Mistletoe & Marriage by Patricia Thayer & Donna Alward. Thanks so much for the opportunity to win & good luck to all who enter!!! Happy Holidays to all!!!:)

BookAttict: LOLOL Having them all trained is awesome! Good job!

Andra & Barbara: I hope you’re able to get your Kindle!

Andra: I agree with you about the feel of an actual book in the hands, but the Kindle is great for traveling.

Joye: I’m with you! Fruitcake rocks! I didn’t like it as a child, but when I tried it as an adult I thought, “What was wrong with me?”

Everyone, thanks for stopping by and Merry Christmas!
